Accelerating growth and building the new Securitas
Securitas’ Annual and Sustainability Report for 2022 highlights organic sales growth of 7% and total revenue of MSEK 133,237. The company operated in 45 markets worldwide, employing more than 345,000 people and serving approximately 150,000 clients across diverse industries.
Key milestones during the year included the successful consolidation of STANLEY Security, which significantly strengthened Securitas’ technology and solutions portfolio. This strategic acquisition expanded our global footprint and accelerated our transformation into a technology-enabled security leader. Technology and solutions sales represented 32% of Group sales in the fourth quarter, demonstrating our continued progress in offering integrated, high-value security solutions.
Securitas also achieved notable improvements in operational efficiency and profitability. The Group’s operating result increased by 22%, with the fourth quarter showing a 39% rise - supported by strong demand, pricing management, and enhanced portfolio performance.
In 2022, Securitas became the first major company in the security industry to commit to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), underscoring our commitment to reducing climate impact and advancing sustainability. Our ambitious goals in environmental responsibility, diversity, ethics, and safety continue to guide our progress. These efforts were recognised when Securitas once again received an AAA rating from the Upright Project for its net positive contribution to society.
Securitas also relaunched The Securitas Toolbox, an internal leadership framework designed to strengthen company culture and empower leaders worldwide. Thousands of employees participated in training programmes, reinforcing our shared values of integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness.
Through strategic investments in digitalisation, sustainability, and innovation, Securitas is evolving from a provider of traditional security services into a trusted partner delivering intelligent, technology-driven security solutions.
