    Job Description

    Security Operations Supervisor (SOS)

    The SOS is responsible for the daily supervision of the Data Centre Security Team (DCST). The SOS is accountable for ensuring that the DCST carry out and fulfil all specified tasks as issued through the site Security Operations Manager (SOM) or his delegate. The SOS will actively monitor, review and record daily performance of all security teams, identifying areas for improved operational effectiveness and staff engagement.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Drive the development of an excellent security culture, leading by example, setting standards (dress, deportment etc.), whilst displaying passion and enthusiasm for the role.

    • Issue site security management with operational reports as requested or on a routine basis.

    • Track and provide a daily and weekly shift updates to SOM including significant operational events and requirements, team meetings, communications, logistics, DCST officer interviews conducted, and training completed.

    • Lead and support the security team during all operations, incident escalation and response.

    • Ensure all security posts are manned in line with the global standards guarding model.

    • Be prepared to provide support and relief to posts where required.

    • The SOS will have primary responsibility for ensuring Post Orders (POs) are carried out to the highest standard, ensuring that the requirements as outlined in the POs are adhered to.

    • Ensure that all incidents, emergencies and site issues (welfare, logistics, comms, EH&S etc.) are reported, escalated and managed in compliance with client’s global standards.

    • Ensure collaboration occurs with the site Training Coordinator (TC), providing up to date initiatives that are premised on a training needs analysis.

    • Oversee a functioning documented shift handover process verbally and via email for operational effectiveness. Utilise a shared documentation management system.

    • Oversee a functioning, documented post-handover at the Guardhouse, Reception and SOC. Ensure that any operational observations that are identified are actioned and followed up on in a timely manner.

    • Act as a conduit between site security management and the DCST when required.

    • Uniformed security personnel as per global uniform standards.

    • Duties will include client service and problem resolution, service enhancement, systems monitoring, preparation of post orders, staffing, scheduling, supervision and training.

    • Oversee and support site rostering and recruitment of suitable personnel

    • Perform regular officer appraisals, and follow up as required

    • Provide coaching and counselling to officers, ensuring officers are set up to perform their duties to the highest possible standard

    • Support and empower the Assistant Supervisor in the execution of their duties

    • Ensure all company required check calls are completed in a timely manner

    • Ensure site based audits and checks are completed as requested by leadership. Any findings of non-compliance are to be addressed and escalated

    • Support the delivery and documentation of training for officers as requested by the STC and/or leadership

    • Develop and perform approved operational security tests as required

    • Carry out any additional tasks assigned by leadership

    • Ensure any breach in SLA is escalated to the SOM through the appropriate channels

    • Drive creative solutions and continuous improvement by fostering a culture of innovation and forward-thinking.

    • Oversee a functioning documented shift handover process verbally and via DAR for operational effectiveness.

    • Additional duties may be assigned, and functions may be modified, according to business necessity.

    • Specific duties or tasks may vary and be documented separately

    • Recommend disciplinary action of assigned security personnel.

    • Reviews reports written on his/her shift

    • Identifies security shortfalls via the organizational chain and offers suggestions for improving the security program

    • Maintains the documentation and follows standardized procedures to successfully complete unannounced audits

    Qualifications

    · Must be at least 18 years of age.

    · Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., phone).

    · Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).

    · Must have a clean driving history with no "at fault" accidents within the last five (5) years

    · Must have the legal right to work in the Republic of Ireland.

    · Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.

    · Must have the ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged period of time.

    · Must have a Leaving Cert, High School Diploma or GED.

    · Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

    · Must meet and continue to maintain additional background clearance checks as required.

    · Must have previous supervisory and leadership experience, and SOC experience desirable

    · Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong focus on customer service

    · Must have strong problem solving, decision making skills with focus on attention to details

    · Must have the ability to lead by example in faced paced environment and in stress elevated situations (incident response scenarios)

    · Must be flexible to work days, nights and weekends.

    · Must be able to work in large team environment with ability to mentor and influence team members

    · Must have excellent PC skills and experience with security systems
