Investors in Diversity Silver Accreditation
Securitas Ireland is proud to announce that we have been awarded the Investors in Diversity Silver Accreditation by the Irish Centre for Diversity. This achievement reflects our continued dedication to building an inclusive, respectful, and equitable workplace for all employees.
Following our Bronze accreditation, this next milestone demonstrates the real progress we’ve made in embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) into our day-to-day operations, culture, and leadership practices. It also recognises the efforts of everyone in our business who is working together to create a workplace where people feel they belong.
Building a more inclusive culture
Achieving Silver status marks more than just recognition — it reflects the strength of our commitment to DEI as a business priority. Our focus on inclusive leadership, clear policies, and open communication has helped us create an environment where people feel respected by colleagues and management, and confident that their voices are being heard.
The accreditation was supported by feedback from our employees through an organisation-wide survey. Many of our people highlighted that they feel valued and trusted by their managers and colleagues and believe that DEI is genuinely taken seriously at every level of the organisation. A significant number also recognised that fairness, respect, and opportunity are well established in our culture.
Insights from our people
The survey revealed that employees widely understand and support our equality and inclusion goals. Many feel empowered to engage with DEI-related topics, acknowledge the accessibility of our workplace and communications, and agree that DEI is a shared responsibility across the business.
While the feedback highlighted our strengths, it also gave us important insights into where we can do better. For example, some employees indicated they hadn’t yet engaged in team conversations around the value of diversity, and others weren’t always aware of how lived experiences within our workforce are influencing new initiatives. These findings are invaluable as we move forward.
Driving change with purpose
We will use insights from the Irish Centre for Diversity report and employee feedback to shape our ongoing DEI strategy. This will include strengthening leadership accountability, improving communication around DEI activity, expanding training opportunities, and ensuring employees are consulted on new policies and programmes.
We also recognise the need to support structured initiatives such as Employee Resource Groups. These groups will help drive sustained, visible change and ensure everyone in our organisation understands how they can contribute to a more inclusive future.
Leadership commitment
“Achieving the Investors in Diversity Silver Accreditation is a proud moment for all of us at Securitas Ireland,” said Michelle Collins, HR Director, Securitas Ireland. “It recognises the work already done and challenges us to continue driving meaningful, inclusive change. Our people are at the heart of everything we do — and creating a culture where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported will always be a priority.”
Looking ahead
Securitas Ireland is committed to going further. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are not just values we aspire to — they’re essential to our success. With the guidance of the Investors in Diversity framework and the voices of our people shaping the way, we are confident in our ability to lead by example in the Irish security industry and beyond.
